Role

The MSAT DP Lead will lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Owners, fostering collaboration and professional growth. They will provide strategic oversight across the product lifecycle, ensuring quality, effective knowledge transfer, and implementation of the Product Control Strategy. They will guide technical support for manufacturing, resolve operational issues, and reduce waste. They will oversee new product introductions and planned changes, ensuring smooth transitions to production. They will champion product and process improvements focused on critical quality attributes, cost efficiency, and performance standards. They will promote risk management, sponsor investigations and root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions. They will lead a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, advancing digital tools and manufacturing technologies to maintain industry leadership.

In this role you will
  • Leadership and Team Development: Develop and lead a highly competent team of Product Owners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Act as a mentor and coach to Product Owners, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
  • Strategic Oversight of Product Management: Ensure effective management of product quality and knowledge transfer throughout the product lifecycle by the Product Owners. Oversee the implementation of the Product Control Strategy and assess the impact of any changes. Provide oversight of the product lifecycle activities and performance monitoring.
  • Technical Support and Coordination: Provide strategic direction for technical support to manufacturing processes, ensuring resolution of day-to-day technical issues, and minimizing reject/waste levels.
  • New Product Introduction and Planned Changes: Oversee the preparation and execution of NPI TTs and lifecycle planned changes, ensuring effective handover to production.
  • Product and Process Improvement: Facilitate and sponsor improvements in product and process capability for CQAs and CPPs, focusing on yield improvement and scrap reduction to enhance Cost of Goods (CoGs).
  • Product Performance and Standards: Promote and monitor technical standards, ensuring systems to track, trend, and analyse product performance are in place. Liaise with relevant global MSAT stakeholders and facilitate partnership across MSAT functions.
  • Risk Management: Ensure comprehensive risk assessment, communication, and action planning in accordance with the Risk Management System (RMS).
  • Sponsorship of Investigations and Root Cause Analysis: Sponsor investigations and root cause analysis for deviations, providing strategic leadership and overseeing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Culture Leadership: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Digital and Innovation Leadership: Drive the adoption of digital tools and manufacturing technologies, fostering a culture of innovation and staying abreast of industry trends to ensure GSK remains at the forefront of innovation.
Why you?

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • BSc in Scientific or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proven capability to lead teams, both line and matrix, in a Technical role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of external regulatory requirements (MHRA, EMA, FDA), and internal/external quality requirements
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of multiple product dose forms and their manufacturing processes
  • Proven experience in product lifecycle management
