Contract Microsoft Security Engineer (Purview)

We're working with a leading Microsoft Cloud Security Partner who are looking for a Contract Microsoft Security Engineer with strong Purview experience to support enterprise-scale security programmes.

• Interviews taking place tomorrow
• Hybrid working from London or Yorkshire, 1 to 2 days onsite (travel covered)

Role overview:
You'll play a hands-on, client-facing role delivering Microsoft security solutions across Purview, Sentinel, Defender and Entra ID. This includes leading deployments, running workshops and supporting broader security strategy engagements.

Key requirements:

• Strong, real-world Microsoft Purview deployment experience (DLP, classification, compliance)
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel including KQL and automation
• Hands-on knowledge of the Defender suite
• Zero Trust design and implementation using Entra ID
• Confident engaging with customers and delivering workshops
• Ability to produce clear design documentation (HLDs and LLDs)

Nice to have:

• Microsoft security certifications (SC-400, AZ-500, SC-300, MS-500)
• Experience with PowerShell or Python
• Exposure to Cyber Essentials or similar frameworks
• Experience with SentinelOne or CrowdStrike
