We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs efficiently and safely
Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals to facilitate accurate repairs
Assemble replacement parts or components as required, ensuring proper fit and function
Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to uphold workshop standards
Assist in the realignment or reconditioning of vehicle components through welding or other specialised techniques
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns effectively
Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing vehicle parts or equipment

Qualifications

Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance roles; automotive qualifications are advantageous
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and assembly tasks
Experience with vehicle diagnostics, equipment repair, and general maintenance procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
Relevant certifications or licences related to automotive repair are preferred but not essential
