Motor Vehicle Technician

A1Autocare is a busy family run buiness in Lavant, we are seeking an experienced vehicle technician/MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a huge knowledge in mechanics, restoration and Diagnostics on all vehicles.

Duties:
- Conduct MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations
- Identify and report any defects or issues with the vehicle
- Perform repairs and maintenance as needed

- Be able to use a range of diagnostic equipment, including snap on, bosch, autel
and be able to read wiring diagrams and scope.

- Have the skills to diagnose electrical problems.
- Keep accurate records of all tests and repairs performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Advising Service manager about required repairs in detail.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and repair
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Requirements:
- Valid MOT Tester certification
- At least 5 years experience in mechanics, diagnostics and Mots.

Driving Licence:

- A full driving licence is required for this position
