Job Overview

We are looking for a dependable MOT Tester with front-of-house capability to join a tight-knit, busy team. The primary focus of this role is handling MOT testing and minor associated repairs (such as brakes and light servicing). Beyond workshop duties, we need a reliable, experienced individual who can comfortably step up to run the front desk, manage customer queries, order parts, and make proactive decisions when management is away.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT testing and basic servicing/repairs (brakes, pads, minor fixes).
• Manage front-of-house duties, handle customer bookings, and answer phone queries.
• Take initiative in daily operations and car park management during management absences.
• Order parts and assist with general workshop coordination.

Key Requirements

• Valid MOT Testing Licence.
• Solid background in vehicle maintenance and light repairs.
• Strong communication skills and a confident, professional customer-facing demeanor.
• Reliable, forward-thinking, and trustworthy enough to work autonomously.

Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Alternate Saturdays, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

• Location: Hildenborough, Kent
• Road Links: Direct access via the B245 / A21, offering straightforward driving routes from Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, and Royal Tunbridge Wells.
