MOT Tester

Our client, a well-established vehicle maintenance provider in Havant, Hampshire, is recruiting for an MOT Tester to join a growing, forward-thinking team. As an MOT Tester, you will play a key role in delivering dealer-standard quality, building customer trust through clear reporting, and supporting the wider service department.

• Competitive annual salary of up to £41,000, with an OTE up to £45,000
• Pay reviews every six months based on performance and contribution
• Opportunity to help establish and develop new MOT processes from scratch
• Supportive team environment with flexible working hours:
  • Mon to Fri 08:00-17:00
  • Mon to Fri, 1 in 3 Saturdays 08:00-12:00
• Company pension and 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays
• Clear progression pathways within the service department

• Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA requirements as an MOT Tester
• Complete thorough inspections and provide accurate, clear MOT reports for customers and service advisors
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to the required safety and cleanliness standards
• Support vehicle inspections, repairs, and general maintenance tasks as needed
• Keep up to date with MOT regulation changes and industry best practice
• Provide transparent, professional communication that builds customer confidence

• Must hold a valid DVSA MOT Tester licence
• Experience as an MOT Tester within a dealership, independent garage, or fast-fit environment
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance practices
• High attention to detail with a safety-first approach
• Good time management and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• UK driving licence
