An exciting opportunity to join our Estates and Facilities team as a Modern Apprentice Porter based within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
There will be an online information session on Tuesday, 28 April 2026 at 2pm to provide more information about the role and to provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions.

Modern Apprentice - Porter
Tenure:Fixed term
Salary:Band 2 Salary Scale: £26,658 - £28,947
On successful completion of the programme, you will be supported into permanent employment.
Start Date:Wednesday, 19th August 2026
Entry Requirements:- Have already achieved 3 National 4 qualifications, 2 of which must include Maths & English.
- Or the equivalent SCQF level of qualification/award.
- Or SCQF Level 4 Core Skills in the following:
- Numeracy
- Working with others
- Communication
- ICT
- Problem Solving
- Fully complete the application form.
- Satisfy the age requirement for an apprenticeship post: Modern Apprenticeships are only open to applicants who will be aged 16 to 24 years (or 16 to 29 years for Disabled Applicants or applicants who are care experienced) on 19th August 2026.
- Assessment Centre: Tuesday, 19th May 2026 and Wednesday, 20th May 2026.
- Interview Date: Wednesday, 27th May 2026.
- This post closes at Midnight on Sunday, 3rd May 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
