An exciting opportunity to join our Estates and Facilities team as a Modern Apprentice Caterer based within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
There will be an online information session on Tuesday, 28th April at 3pm, to provide more information about the role and to provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions.

Job Title: Modern Apprentice - Caterer
Tenure: Fixed term
Salary: Band 2 Salary Scale: £26,658 - £28,947
On successful completion of the programme, you will be supported into permanent employment.
Start Date: Wednesday, 19th August 2026
Entry RequirementsApplications are considered on a competitive basis which means not all candidates who meet the entry criteria will be guaranteed an interview. In order to be considered for interview your Application Form MUST clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- Have already achieved 3 National 4 qualifications, 2 of which must include Maths & English
- The equivalent SCQF level of qualification/award
- SCQF Level 4 Core Skills in the following:
- Numeracy
- Working with others
- Communication
- ICT
- Problem Solving
- It is desirable that you have achieved a National 4 in Home Economics
- Fully complete the application form
- Satisfy the age requirement for an apprenticeship post: Modern Apprenticeships are only open to applicants who will be aged 16 to 24 years (or 16 to 29 years for Disabled Applicants or applicants who are care experienced ) on 19th August 2026, in line with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Widening Access to Employment Strategy and workforce projections.
- Assessment Centre: Tuesday, 19th May 2026 and Wednesday, 20th May 2026
- Interview Date: Wednesday, 27th May 2026
- Post closes at Midnight on Sunday, 3rd May 2026.
