Mobile Plant Operative

Position Overview

Salary: £33,271.99 plus Veolia benefits. Overtime when needed. Hours: 46.67 per week. Shift pattern: 4 on, 2 off covering 7 days per week. Time: 06:00-16:30.

Location: Colwick Transfer Station, Nottinghamshire, NG4 2JU.

This new facility handles bulk, treatment and transfer of waste materials collected from local businesses and householders. It also shreds residual waste to produce refuse-derived fuel (RDF).

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant and shredder.
• Ensure turnaround times are met regarding the tipping and loading of vehicles.
• Inspect all input and output material, report any non conforming loads and ensure quality meets customer specifications.
• Maintain the facility in a clean condition, cleaning up any spillages before leaving the area.
• Complete all related documentation in a timely and accurate fashion.

Qualifications

• Similar operational/manual handling experience.
• Yellow plant licence - Loading shovel mandatory.
