OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, telehandlers, and more. Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, and telehandlers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service while working on-site and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a fitter or technician, preferably with plant machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering or mechanics (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Full UK driving license.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Day-to-Day

• Travel to various sites in Swindon and surrounding areas to carry out maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect and assess machinery to identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
