An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, independent practice in the beautiful rural surroundings of Powys, near the Shropshire border. This long established practice has been at the heart of its local community for many years, providing exceptional care to both farm animals and pets. With a strong reputation and a loyal client base reflected in a 4.5/5 Google rating, the team prides itself on delivering traditional, personal service backed by modern clinical standards - and even provides its own out of hours care.
The Role• A confident mixed animal vet with a real passion for large animal work. • Caseload includes approximately 50% dairy, 25% beef and 25% sheep. • Work closely with dairy herds ranging from small family farms to large commercial operations, gaining hands on experience in health planning, herd management and preventative care. • Provide quality veterinary care and build lasting relationships with clients.
About the TeamThe team consists of 14 dedicated vets, including seven senior veterinary surgeons with an impressive combined experience of over 250 years, supported by a skilled nursing and support team. They are a welcoming, collaborative group who take pride in the standards of care they offer and in supporting each other's growth.
