Minor Adaptations Officer - Powys

About the roleAs a Minor Adaptations Officer, you'll visit clients in their homes across Powys to assess, measure, and complete the fitting of small adaptations that improve safety and independence. These can include:
- Internal grab rails in bathrooms, kitchens, hallways etc
- External grab rails on exterior walls such as brick and stone
- Half steps (internal wooden and external paving slab)
- Galvanised rails
- Key safes
You'll work directly with clients in their own homes, so a friendly, respectful, clean and professional approach is essential.
About YouWe're looking for someone who:
- Has a background in construction or demonstrable trade/handy person skills, specifically in the proficient use of power tools.
- Can interpret measurements, diagrams, and floor plans in a domestic home environment.
- Has excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable nature
- Is organised, clean and able to work unsupervised to busy schedules
- Can problem-solve and adapt to different situations
- Holds a valid, clean driving licence and is happy to travel daily across Powys
- Please note: this role is subject to a standard DBS check.
- 40 hours per week, full-time, permanent
- Annual salary of £28,453
- All tools, work/PPE clothing and a work van.
