Mine Manager

We are seeking an experienced Mine Manager to lead safe, efficient, and high-performance mining operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving best-in-class standards across safety, production, quality, maintenance, and environmental performance.

As Mine Manager, you will guide a team of approximately 25 staff, shaping long-term mine planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing extraction methods, and championing continuous improvement through WCM principles. You will play a critical role in operational excellence, community engagement, cost control, and people development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of mine safety, operations, engineering, and quality.

• Ensure compliance with statutory mining and quarrying regulations.

• Oversee blasting operations and the safe use of explosives.

• Drive continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing (WCM) standards.

• Develop long-term mine plans, including extraction sequencing and exploration.

• Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies, local communities, and internal stakeholders.

• Manage mine budgets, cost performance, and capital projects.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.

About You

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field (postgraduate qualification desirable).

• Minimum 10 years' mining experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

• Strong background in both underground and open-pit operations.

• Proven track record in mine management, cost control, and project delivery.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Data-driven, commercially aware, and committed to continuous improvement.
