Location: Canary Wharf, London (3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 6-12 months (with potential extension)

This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical payment and messaging systems within a fast-paced, enterprise-level financial services environment.
you'll be working on high-volume transaction processing systems, supporting the banks global operations and ensuring seamless integration across multiple platforms and services.

What you'll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus v9+ or App Connect Enterprise (ACE 12)
• Building and deploying message flows using various node types including Compute, SOAP, HTTP, Routing, Mapping, and Database nodes
• Working with IBM MQ and MQFTE to facilitate reliable messaging across the estate
• Creating and maintaining message sets and message definitions using XML, MRM, and TDS formats
• Supporting API integrations via API Connect or Azure API Management
• Writing and maintaining scripts in ESQL, Java, Korn Shell, PERL, and SQL
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, operations teams, and vendors to deliver robust solutions
• Participating in change control processes and supporting production incidents when required

What We re Looking For Essential Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (v9+) or App Connect Enterprise (ACE 12)
• Proven expertise working with IBM MQ (v8.0+) and MQFTE (v7.0+)
• Solid programming skills in ESQL, Java, SQL, and Scripting languages (Korn Shell, PERL)
• Experience developing message flows and working with multiple node types
• Proficiency working across Unix/AIX, Linux, and Windows environments
• Strong understanding of Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and stored procedures
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Highly Desirable

• Experience working within financial services or investment banking
• Knowledge of payment message formats such as SWIFT, NACHA, SEPA, X12, or EDI
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience using testing tools such as RFHUtil, SOAP-UI, or JUnit
• Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies

Additional Information This role requires flexibility to work outside standard hours during critical production releases and system changes. Weekend work may occasionally be required to support deployments that cannot be completed during business hours.
