Introduction

Join our client's Analytics & Reporting Chapter, a Front End focused team responsible for enterprise-level Power BI and Microsoft Fabric governance, tenant management, and platform support. The team is building a fully Fabric-based reporting platform and needs a senior consultant to fill a key governance and architecture gap.

This role combines strategic oversight with selective hands-on involvement, helping shape a secure, scalable, and well-governed analytics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and guide the implementation of a secure, compliant environment for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and tenant configurations.
• Review and evaluate new platform features and advise on benefits, risks, and required actions.
• Manage and test tenant settings, ensuring optimal setup across Power BI and Fabric.
• Lead Fabric capacity optimization, reducing unnecessary spend and improving allocation.
• Define and promote best practices for security, compliance, life cycle management, and adoption.
• Support internal teams through guidance, platform education, and building a Power BI/Fabric community.
• Act as a senior consultant providing architectural recommendations and structured governance oversight.

Requirements

Must-Have

• Strong experience with Power BI governance, tenant management, and enterprise-level controls.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric (experience strongly preferred).
• Background in governance, optimization, and resource allocation in large organizations.
• Ability to interpret new features and translate them into actionable governance steps.
• Strong consulting skills with both high-level architecture and hands-on tenant experience.

Nice-to-Have

• Deep Microsoft Fabric architecture experience.
• Experience fostering adoption, building user communities, and guiding best-practice usage.
• Prior "tenant go-to person" or platform owner experience.

Soft Skills

• Strategic mindset with a "helicopter view" and readiness for hands-on tasks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Comfortable working with distributed international teams.
