Microbiology Technologist

Be the critical link between microbiology expertise and pharmaceutical quality assurance. Proclinical is seeking a Microbiology Technologist to join a quality control microbiology team in the UK. In this role, you will perform microbiological testing on sterile pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and maintaining strong aseptic techniques. Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological testing on finished sterile products, including sterility and endotoxin testing.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Work with multi-day test methods and follow varied protocols.
• Utilize quality control systems such as SAP and LIMS-LES.

Key Skills and Requirements Essential

• Degree in Microbiology or Life Sciences.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of basic microbiology principles.

Desirable

• Experience in GMP environments, particularly in pharmaceutical QC labs.
• Familiarity with sterility or endotoxin testing, aseptic techniques, and data integrity principles.
• Experience with lab systems such as SAP, LIMS, or LES.

Experience Level

• Open to graduates with relevant lab-placement experience or experienced technicians with laboratory backgrounds.
