GSL Education London Branch is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic MFL Teacher to join secondary schools in Newham and Tower Hamlets from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in dynamic, inclusive schools that value language learning and cultural awareness.
We are seeking an MFL Teacher who can confidently deliver French, Spanish or other modern foreign languages to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. If you're an experienced teacher, this role offers the perfect platform to share your love of languages and make a real difference in students' lives.
Responsibilities of an MFL Teacher:
- Teach Modern Foreign Languages (French, Spanish or others) across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that support all learners
- Encourage students to develop strong speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in the target language
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes a love for languages
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing feedback and intervention where needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching strategies
- Contribute to department planning, trips, and enrichment activities
Requirements for the MFL Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching MFL in a UK secondary school
- Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A passion for languages and the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Right to work in the UK
