Metrology Engineer

We are seeking a Metrology Engineer to join our Spectacles team.

What you'll do:

1. Develop and optimize metrology techniques for nanostructures.
2. Maintain and operate key tools like FIB-SEM and AFM for precise measurements.
3. Collaborate across teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
4. Create new approaches for metrology and characterization.
5. Automate measurement and analysis processes.
6. Improve existing tools and processes, and guide new tool acquisitions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of metrology tools and processes.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt.
• Excellent communication and reasoning skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• PhD in relevant fields with postdoctoral or industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with FIB, TEM, SEM, and AFM.
• Strong data analysis skills using Matlab, Python, etc.
• Knowledge of nanofabrication processes.

Preferred Experience:

• Postdoctoral or industry experience.
• Understanding of optical and photonic devices.
• Experience scripting with Python.
• Experience with characterization tools like EDX, XRD, FTIR, TGA, GC/MS.
