Job Description

As a Metrologist at Fluke, you will be responsible for developing and calibrating procedures, automation, analysis, validation, and engineering for infrared temperature measurement instrumentation.

Fluke seeks individuals eager to work within a top-tier test and measurement equipment manufacturer. The candidate will join a team of metrology and engineering experts supporting accredited calibration of existing products and developing calibration procedures and measurement methods for new products.

Additionally, the candidate will:

  1. Develop calibration methods based on measurement science, analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements, primarily for Infrared Radiation and Thermography measurements.
  2. Create automated calibration procedures.
  3. Design calibration test systems for Fluke products.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot calibration test systems.
  5. Perform calibrations to transfer traceability from Primary Standards to Laboratory Standards.
  6. Conduct uncertainty analysis for accredited calibrations.
  7. Support design engineers in developing metrological specifications for new products.
  8. Develop control charts and statistical process control for calibration standards.
  9. Seek improvements in calibration processes.

Qualifications include:

  1. A bachelor's degree in physics or electrical engineering with RF and optics emphasis.
  2. Strong math skills, including calculus and numerical methods.
  3. Ability to code for measurement automation, data analysis, process control, and calibration procedures.
  4. Experience in an ISO 17025 accredited lab is preferred.
  5. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and work ethic.
  6. A desire to grow and advance your career.
