Job Description

A successful candidate's main roles and responsibilities will be as follows;

Testing, segregating and sorting incoming material - Knowledge and at least 2 years of prior use of analytical equipment needed (eg. Portable XRF machine). In-depth knowledge and awareness of common Nickel & Cobalt Superalloy material specifications, particularly from the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries. Prior experience using a handheld XRF metal analyser is a necessity for this role.

Filing in relevant Sort Report's and passing on to Sorting Supervisor - making sure all relevant information is collated and written down correctly for any sorts you have been involved in.

Returning goods to stock when needed, filling in stock movement sheets & maintaining a tidy work environment - good organisational skills required

Metal Processing - from time to time, load and unload lorries and containers and process and pack metal ready for sale

Academic or trade qualifications

GCSE grade of C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent college course qualifications)

Full, clean driving license

Fork Lift Truck license

Shift Timings;

Monday-Thursday: 7am-2.30pm or 7.30am to 3pm or 8am to 3.30pm (all with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

Friday: 6am-1.30pm or 6.30am to 2pm or 7am to 2.30pm (all with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

Shift timings may be rotated to suit the needs of the business. Afternoon/night shift work may be needed from time to time.
