Metallurgy Technician

To provide and co-ordinate metallurgy, gauging and goods inwards activities which assure product quality

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cross-sectional analysis of welds and brazed joints
• Conduct cleanliness testing
• Creating analysis reports
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
• To maintain laboratory equipment to both national and approved standards for calibration and safety.
• To ensure all data, test results, material test reports, certificates of conformance and reports are retained as per customer requirements
• To evaluate metallurgical concerns relative to both products and process and advise on their resolution
• Sign off internal welders to agreed standard
• Audit incoming products and supplier material test reports for compliance to specification
• To attend training to support business changes in product, process, quality tools and laboratory equipment.
• Support a safe working environment, considering company procedures and current legislation

• Time served working in a manufacturing environment
