MERKUR Slots is part of the MERKUR Group, a leading gaming and entertainment company with a presence in multiple countries. This role is based in the UK and involves managing a licensed gaming centre.

About you
  • As well as maximizing sales in the venue through a range of marketing and promotional activity you'll also ensure the very highest standards of presentation and customer services - your aim will be to make your venue the best in town, for customers to visit and for your colleagues to work in.
  • Management experience within retail, hospitality or the gambling sector is desired.
  • Experience with management reporting and administration.
  • Experienced managing a team.
  • Experience with creating staff rotas.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Understanding of budgeting as well as Profit and Loss reports.
  • Flexibility to work both day and night shifts (if your venue is a 24-hour operation).
Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for the performance and profitability of a licensed gaming centre.
  • Champion company standards and best practice within the venue.
  • Ensure marketing, promotional activities and events are delivered correctly.
  • Maintain physical and personal security.
  • Control cash/assets and minimise risk of loss.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times and build relationships with regular customers.
  • Operate in accordance with LCCP (License conditions).
  • Develop and train the team in line with launches and company policy.
  • Ensure staff are properly managed and address performance or misconduct promptly and professionally.
  • Recruitment and training of new team members for the venue.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity.
  • Ensure venue cash collections are carried out according to company procedures.
  • Monitor and analyse machine income levels and achieve KPIs and audits (including international, compliance, etc.).
  • Adhere to health and safety practices to operate the venue safely.
  • Complete administration tasks to required standards and timelines.
  • Promote safeguarding and social responsibility measures.
  • Respond positively and promptly to customer feedback/enquiries.
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation and ensure staff adhere to the brand dress code.
  • Discourage harassment, bullying, victimisation or discrimination of any kind against employees, management or customers.
