About the Team

As a Mergers & Acquisitions Lead Advisory Manager, you will develop the M&A service line by delivering high quality service across a range of clients, advising on disposals, acquisitions, fundraisings and management buyouts. The focus is on privately owned mid market businesses with enterprise values between £5million and £50million.

Responsibilities
  • Research and prepare new deal opportunities and pitches.
  • Prepare financial models and transaction documentation, including business plans, marketing materials and financial forecasts.
  • Research, approach and coordinate potential buyers for clients.
  • Project manage larger transactions and oversee smaller ones in full.
  • Support the national M&A team's marketing activity and build your own market profile.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, ensuring prompt resolution of problems or requests.
  • Display vision and strategic perspective focused on long term goals.
  • Maintain control and stability under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Make confident and clear presentations of service features and benefits to clients.
  • Ensure services provided are genuinely appropriate for the client.
  • Identify, analyze and support pursuit of opportunities and prospects for new work.
  • Assess and produce high quality work in line with the Firm's policy and processes, adhering to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • ACA (or equivalent) qualified.
  • At least two (2) years of Lead Advisory M&A experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
  • Desire to grow and develop the department.
  • Ability to develop new initiatives and methodologies.
  • Ability to identify issues and apply commercial acumen in all situations.
  • Ability to express ideas with authority and conviction.
  • Ability to develop self and others.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Active pursuit of expertise and knowledge development.
