Working in our busy, fast paced team at our Head Offices in London, you will play a pivotal role in the ensuring the business uses the best data and analysis to inform buying & trading decisions, maximises sales and profit opportunities and contribute to overall business strategy and growth.
We are building out a merchandising team to support our next phase of growth. Your remit will include team development and proactive improvement of the merchandising function, including establishing and managing best in class merchandising systems and processes.
You will also need to work closely with our buying, supply chain, retail and online teams to ensure a seamless delivery of product into each channel.
You will be a visible leader and a team player, working with a variety of stakeholders across the wider organisation and forming strong working partnerships especially with the buying team. You will add gravitas, have innovative ideas and bring experience, energy and enthusiasm into the mix. You will provide strategic vision and focus but with an eye on the detail. You will be an ambassador and role model for the brand.
Here's a breakdown of what you'll be doing:
- Work in conjunction with the Director of Merchandising and other stakeholders to influence the development of strategic plans and support trading decisions
- Ensure accurate data is used, available and analysed to make the best commercial decisions and work with various End. stakeholders (especially IT) to improve the underlying data integrity
- Support key stakeholders (incl. finance, supply chain, retail, digital) with timely provision of inventory and trading information. Work with IT to automate and manage key trading reports.
- Support the Director of Merchandising and other key stakeholders in co-ordinating business roll ups for key KPI's and documents eg business OTB, WSSI.
- Own the strategy for the Womenswear & Lifestyle segments of the business, guiding the team to achieve growth plans and profitable departments.
- Ensure effective stBuild and maintain knowledge capability of underlying B&M data, systems and processes ock distribution and customer-focused market knowledge.
- Provide training and support to merchandising community on B&M systems and processes

- Market and customer focus with high awareness of competitors. Knowledge of both online brands marketplaces and physical retail stores is a positive
- A trading mentality with the ability and appetite to work in a fast paced, commercial environment.
- Have a breadth of functional experience learned in a fast-paced, complex multi-channel environment.
- Strategic thinking and ability to initiate new business directions.
- Able to build and maintain robust but constructive relationships with buying, supply chain and other internal colleagues.
- Have an inquisitive and entrepreneurial mind-set, with the ability to handle complexity and ambiguity.
- Problem-solving skills to identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to influence and present proposals persuasively.
