About HS2:

• The rolewill work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK's new high speed rail network. Itwill be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on theexisting railways and connecting 8 out of the UK's 10 biggest cities with fast,reliable and frequent high speed services
• TheSkanska Costain STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London TunnelsContract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaftsinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworksand the construction of site compounds.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

• Our apprentice programme is a great opportunityto gain a recognised qualification from college while working on one of ourmajor projects and earning a salary.
• By joining us as an Apprentice MEP Engineer, youwill be part of the HS2 team supporting the Mechanical, Electrical and PublicHealth (MEP) delivery across the ventilation shafts and portals on the HS2London Tunnels project. The role involves supporting all aspects of designassurance, construction, commercial processes and planning.
• Assist in reviewing MEP design information supplied by consultantsand subcontractors.
• Support constructability reviews and contribute to designcoordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Assist the development and maintenance of MEP Inspection & TestPlans (ITPs).
• Help draft and maintain Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
• Monitor daily site works including attending start of shiftbriefings and Tool Box Talks.
• Attend site inspections reviewing quality & quantity of installacross MEP works.
• Support planning processes by providing MEP schedule and milestoneinputs.
• Work with the commercial team for cost tracking, variations andchange control.
• Assist in tracking and recording MEP design deliverables.
• Support coordination of design compliance documentation.
• Prepare and maintain registers and safe system of workdocumentation.
• Promote health and safety and Zero-Accidents culture.
• Understand and apply environmental andsustainability policies.
