Location: East London
Salary: £42,000-£50,000 DOE

An established East London practice is seeking an accredited Mental Health Solicitor to join its Community Law team. You will work alongside lawyers specialising across mental health, housing, debt and community care, representing clients whose cases require both technical ability and a very human approach.

The role

You will manage a caseload of mental health matters, provide clear and practical advice and undertake advocacy where required.

The position will involve:

• Advising and representing clients in mental health proceedings
• Conducting advocacy
• Managing cases independently and efficiently
• Working sensitively with vulnerable clients
• Maintaining strong client and professional relationships
• Collaborating with colleagues across complementary social welfare disciplines

You

You must have:

• At least three years' PQE, or equivalent experience
• Law Society Mental Health Accreditation
• Previous advocacy experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to build trust with clients
• An organised, flexible and compassionate approach
