Main duties of the jobOur Mental Health Practitioners will work as part of an established integrated multi-disciplinary Home Treatment Team. The team promotes a dynamic and innovative way of working, triaging and responding to mental health crisis calls and referrals, providing interventions, support, guidance and signposting. The service further delivers timely and responsive face to face assessments where required.
This team is made up of a Psychiatrist, nurses, Approved Mental Health Practitioners, Social Workers and Support Time Recovery Workers with the support of an admin team and Psychologists.
This is a full-time post, working 13 long days/nights over a 4 week period.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications- Current professional registration NMC / HCPC
- Evidence of continued professional development
- To have Sign Off Mentor (SOM) qualification as in accordance with the NMC and be able to sign off students as proficient for registration
- Previous experience working with service users in mental health crisis
- Working knowledge of crisis assessment and intervention
- Solution focussed training/experience
- Advanced skills in CBT
- Effective leadership and management skills
- Confident in their abilities to make rapid and effective decision
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
