Member Services Officer

Location: Hybrid - with 5 days per month in the London office
Duration: 6-month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00-17:00)
Salary: £30,500-£33,000 FTE

Charity People is delighted to be partnering with a leading professional membership organisation to recruit for their next Member Services Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative membership team and deliver exceptional service to professionals across the UK. The organisation plays a vital role in supporting its members through education, training, and advocacy, ensuring the highest standards of care and professional development.

About the Role

As Member Services Officer, you will be the first point of contact for members, prospective members, and stakeholders, providing outstanding customer service across multiple channels, including phone, email, and Live Chat. You will assist with membership applications, payments, and benefits, and support exam candidates throughout their journey.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary contact for members and stakeholders, handling queries confidently and professionally.
  • Supporting membership processes including applications, renewals, and benefits.
  • Administering exam applications and guiding candidates through eligibility, payments, and post-exam processes.
  • Delivering accurate, timely information to members and candidates via phone, email, and Live Chat.
  • Maintaining accurate records in the organisation's database and ensuring compliance with data protection.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve queries and improve processes.
  • Collecting and acting on feedback to enhance service delivery.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service in a busy environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence in handling high volumes of enquiries and working under pressure.
  • Practical experience with CRM systems and data entry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with a proactive approach.
