Job Description

Crosby Composites (established in 1982) is the number one composite manufacturer in the UK, excelling in the design and manufacture of high-quality carbon fibre parts. Our global customers cover Formula 1, motorsport but primarily automotive, making components and bodywork for some of the most prestigious and outrageous hyper cars in the world. Our services in supporting this include conceptual design, bespoke tooling and manufacturing (with in house state of the art spray painting, kit cutting and multiple large autoclaves).

Purpose of the job:

To support the Melt-Out department while developing the skills, knowledge, and experience required to carry out the full Melt-Out Technician role to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of patterns, moulds, and castings
  • Learn to use hand tools, small air tools, and abrasive materials safely and effectively
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced team members
  • Support checking that drawings and route card instructions are clear and correct
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Assist in maintaining tools and equipment
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements
  • Work both independently (when required) and as part of a team
  • Actively participate in training and development opportunities
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the department
