Medical Secretary

This role as a Medical Secretary at Elysium Healthcare offers the opportunity to provide administrative support to the medical team at the Potters Bar Clinic. You will be responsible for managing diaries, planning meetings, updating records, and liaising with external agencies to support the Registered Clinicians. The role provides a chance to develop your skills in a healthcare setting, with a focus on confidentiality and attention to detail.

Main Duties

• Supporting the Registered Clinician with letters and general documentation
• Supporting all meetings as minute taker as requested and chaired by the Medical Director, SMT or ad hoc
• Receiving, recording and checking typing, correcting spelling and grammatical errors, and completing tasks within deadlines
• Participating in the administration, development and evaluation of regulatory matters
• Co ordinating the hospital diary and the whereabouts of the clinicians
• Arranging conference calls
• Booking meetings

Qualifications

• IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Experience of audio typing
• Communication and organisational skills
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent
• Knowledge of mental health and medications

Potters Bar Clinic comprises two acute mental health wards for adult men and women, and two CAMHS Tier 4 low secure wards for young people aged .

Located in a residential area, the clinic is only a one minute drive from the M25 and a short bus ride from Potters Bar Train Station with a bus stop right outside.
