Being a Medical Secretary isone where you will be helping to mend lives and keep the music playing. The keyfocus of this role is to provide a professional and efficient service topatients and doctors through the provision of high quality administrativeactivities.
Main duties of the jobDo you have secretarialand customer service experience gained within a medical setting? If so, we are passionate about what we do andwe want to hear from you. This is a verydemanding and busy role, but one where you have the opportunity to make life abit better.
This opportunity hasbecome available as a team member has been promoted within the Practice. Thesuccessful candidate needs to be able to work on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursdayand Friday starting at 9.00am until 5.00pm, with the exception of Thursday whenyou will work until 7.00pm

Job responsibilitiesThe key focus of thisrole is to provide a professional, efficient and customer focused secretarialservice to patients and doctors through the provision of high qualityadministrative activities for Danebridge Medical Practice.
The post holder will be a key point of contactfor patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highestpossible professional basis; ensuring that enquiries from patients areefficiently and courteously handled to the mutual satisfaction of the Practiceand patient.
Person Specification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Ability to communicate effectively in the written and oral form to develop and maintain constructive relationships with people internal and external to the Practice
- Ability to be self motivated and work co-operatively as part of a team. Managing ones own time with a minimum of supervision to meet agreed deadlines
- Attention to detail focused with an ability to produce written work to a high standard
- Influencing and decision making skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Professional Development
- Extensive experience of working within a customer facing administrative role providing a professional, effective, and quality service
- Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer for a range of different purposes
- Experience of working within a Medical Practice
- Experience of using patient databases, ideally EMIS Web, including: input, analysis and presentation of information
- Experience of working as a Medical Secretary providing a professional, effective and quality service
- NVQ Level III (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards
- GCSE Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in English Language and mathematics
