We are now seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our UK & Ireland Medical Affairs team , supporting our growing Neuroscience portfolio.This is a field based role offering the opportunity to engage in meaningful, non promotional scientific exchange and to help shape medical strategy through insights, education, and evidence generation.The RoleAs a Medical Science Liaison, you will act as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals and Thought Leaders (TLs), delivering high quality medical engagement across your assigned territory, with a predominant focus on the London and Greater London region. Working closely with UK & Ireland and Global teams, you will contribute to medical strategy, support evidence generation, and ensure Ipsen's scientific reputation for excellence, integrity, and compliance.All activities are conducted in line with Ipsen policies, SOPs, the ABPI Code, and local regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesScientific Exchange & External EngagementBuild and maintain peer to peer scientific relationships with Thought Leaders, HCPs, and medical expertsDevelop and execute territory level stakeholder engagement plans aligned to therapy and business needsDeliver fair, balanced, and compliant scientific exchange on disease areas, approved products, and pipeline assetsCapture, document, and communicate high quality medical insightsMedical Education & Scientific CommunicationDeliver scientific and educational presentations (reactive and proactive)Support and organise advisory boards, investigator meetings, and scientific exchange forumsContribute to medical education initiatives, publications, posters, abstracts, and manuscriptsEvidence Generation & Clinical SupportCoordinate unsolicited Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) from concept to publicationSupport company sponsored studies, post marketing research, registries, and real world evidence projectsEngage investigators and support site feasibility assessments and scientific discussionsCross Functional CollaborationContribute to the UK & Ireland Annual Medical PlanProvide scientific expertise to Commercial and Market Access colleagues while maintaining clear non promotional boundariesParticipate in Integrated Brand Teams and regional account planningCompliance & GovernanceEnsure compliance with Ipsen SOPs, pharmacovigilance requirements, and ABPI CodeTimely reporting of adverse events and product quality complaintsAccurate documentation of all activities in Ipsen systemsAbout YouEssentialDemonstrated experience as a Medical Science LiaisonStrong scientific knowledge enabling credible, non promotional engagementExperience within Medical Affairs, clinical research, or related scientific rolesExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong understanding of pharma compliance and medical governanceDegree in Life Sciences or a related disciplineFluent written and spoken English (scientific English)DesirableExperience within a pharmaceutical medical departmentNeuroscience therapeutic area experienceExperience with clinical trial data interpretation and real world evidenceAdvanced scientific or medical degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD, MBA or equivalent)ABPI Code accreditationWe are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported; where we embrace "The Real Us".
