Medical Receptionist

St Albans Medical Centre is looking for a (15.5 hrs/week) receptionist to join our friendly Practice.

You will be the first point of contact, promote a positive andfriendly image to patients and other visitors and support some administrativeduties.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, friendly with excellentcustomer service skills and work well within a team while also able to usetheir own initiative.

Main duties of the job

You will be working in a customer facing role with calm manner,handling telephone/ face to face request for the service we provide.

Opening up and locking up of premises as appropriate.

Processing documentation and providing administrative support to our clinical staff and other members of the Practice.

Main duties: booking appointments, processing prescriptions,dealing with patient queries.

We are a medium size Practice with currently six part-time GPsand other friendly staff.

We work as a team.

We are located in a nice, leafy North Kingston with an easyaccess to Kingston town centre, river Thames and Richmond Park.

Person Specification Experience

• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure.
• Experience of working in a medical centre/hospital would be ideal.
