Medical Receptionist Vacancy

Due to relocation, we are seeking to recruit a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly, supportive, and welcoming team.

This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, worked over five days, Monday to Friday. Core hours are 8:00am to 6:00pm, with shifts allocated on a rota basis. There may be some flexibility to accommodate a half-day adjustment for the right candidate.

About the Role

The successful candidate will demonstrate a professional, courteous, and positive approach, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. A high standard of telephone manner and competent computer skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team within a busy and demanding environment.

The post-holder should be forward-thinking, highly motivated, and committed to delivering a high-quality administrative service in support of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a welcoming and professional service to patients and visitors
• Handling telephone enquiries efficiently and courteously
• Working closely with GPs and the wider clinical team
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

The role involves regular contact with patients, members of the public, GPs, and the wider clinical team, requiring a consistently warm and professional manner.

About You

We are looking for an approachable, caring individual who enjoys working with people and contributes positively to a respectful and supportive team environment.

Previous experience within a general practice or healthcare setting would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary starting from £13.00 per hour, dependent on experience
