Medical Receptionist - Patient Care & Scheduling

Greet patients and visitors to the practice.
Answering incoming telephone calls, ensuring calls are documented (where required) and redirected accordingly.
Book, amend and cancel patient appointment in line with practice appointments procedures ensuing optimum efficiency of the appointment system.
Deal with patient queries which may include calling hospital for copy of letters, lab reports or related.
Ensure all tasks sent by GPs and admin staff are dealt on timely basis Ensure clinical rooms, reception and waiting areas are kept neat and tidy and also equipped with hand towels.
Keep up to date with mandatory trainings.
Re-stocking of information leaflets or any other relevant information as appropriate Check emails on a daily basis.
Also regularly check practice general emails.
Work safely at all times in accordance with GDPR Legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures.
