Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to take on a senior leadership role within an established female mental health service. The position offers both clinical and medical management responsibilities within an acute setting, with support to a linked rehabilitation ward as needed.

Salary: Around £160,000 + £8,400 car allowance + £10 welcome bonus
Position: Medical Lead
Hours: Full Time
Setting: Acute
Location: Borehamwood

Your key responsibilities will be;

• Take clinical responsibility for patients across acute and rehab wards
• Act as Responsible Clinician for detained patients under the Mental Health Act
• Support and supervise doctors on site, including Associate Specialists
• Contribute to governance, service strategy, and management meetings
• Lead MDT reviews and participate in strategic and risk planning
• Provide psychiatric insight to assessments, formulations, and care plans
• Deliver and support in-house training and clinical supervision

For this role, we're looking for someone who has;

• Full medical qualification with MRCPsych (or equivalent)
• Previous Consultant experience within mental health
• Up-to-date understanding of developments in psychiatry and clinical care
• Experience in clinical governance and service development
• Leadership skills and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
• S12 & AC
