Mechanical/Plumbing Team Leader

We are now investing in our Estates team in both strategic project management and day to day management of maintenance and buildings.

We seek highly motivated, hardworking individuals with experience in their field or those looking to change careers.

Positions include project managers, estates officers (mechanical and electrical), supervisors and assistants.

Main duties of the job

Work as part of a team providing Engineering Management duties and lead & manage the staff within the Mechanical section.

Job responsibilities

Coordinate mechanical and plumbing maintenance operations, plan and allocate PPM and reactive workloads, supervise maintenance teams, and ensure safe and effective delivery of mechanical and plumbing work scopes.

Person Specification Qualifications

• Level 3 mechanical qualification (or UK recognised equivalent)
• ILM / CMI Level 3 (or willingness to work toward)

Experience

• Mechanical or plumbing maintenance experience in an operational environment
• Experience of PPM, fault finding and minor mechanical works
• Experience supervising, coordinating or leading maintenance teams in an operational environment
• Experience planning, allocating and coordinating reactive and PPM workloads
• Experience supervising or line managing mechanical or plumbing trade staff

Practical and Intellectual Skills (Including Any Special Knowledge)

• Ability to understand mechanical and plumbing work scopes sufficient to supervise safe and effective delivery
• Routine IT competence, including Microsoft Office 365, to support work allocation, communication and record keeping
• Experience mentoring apprentices or providing practical guidance to less experienced staff
