Job Description
Overview

UK: Mechanical Service Technician (Ireland). Based within a commutable distance to Portadown. HUBER Technology is an environmental engineering company with a UK operation in Chippenham focused on wastewater treatment solutions for the UK water industry. Reporting to the Regional Field Manager, the role is part of a small team responsible for servicing, installation and troubleshooting of HUBER machinery. The position involves predominately site work and a company van will be provided for travel (shared with one other colleague). Occasionally you may be required to work in other parts of the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out site visits to undertake inspections or mechanical service/fitting work.
  • Ensure site work is carried out to a satisfactory standard and address issues immediately and professionally.
  • Manage the relationship with the client on site.
  • Create site reports upon completion of site work.
  • Maximise time on site by coordinating with the Regional Field Manager and internal colleagues to resolve technical or site issues and ensure work is completed satisfactorily.
  • Work closely with suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Participate in site and job preparation work and contribute to hands-on activity as part of the role.
Profile / Qualifications
  • Apprentice scheme completed or NVQ minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of four years' experience.
  • Experience working with a variety of people and ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Previously on-site experience or strong aspirations to move into a field-based role.
  • Advocate for health & safety; able to work safely at all times.
  • Welding ability, with TIG welding experience preferred.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

A flexible attitude towards handling different aspects of the role is required. You should be self-motivated, customer-focused, team-oriented, reliable with good problem-solving and ownership, and able to demonstrate initiative. A clean driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.
