Mechanical / HVAC Designer - BIM
Our client is a leading global EPCM organisation with operations and projects across Ireland. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical /HVAC Designer - BIM to support a semiconductor project in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Mechanical/HVAC engineering activities for assigned semiconductor project areas.
- Develop, review and coordinate BIM models for mechanical and HVAC systems, ensuring accuracy, clash resolution and alignment with design intent.
- Support site installation of mechanical and HVAC systems, working closely with contractors to resolve technical queries and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process, electrical, architectural and construction management.
- Conduct field inspections, verify installation quality and support commissioning readiness.
- Ensure adherence to cleanroom, contamination control and high-tech manufacturing standards.
- Review technical submittals, method statements and contractor proposals.
- Support commissioning and start up activities, including testing, verification and documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, model updates and as built information.
- Champion safety, quality and continuous improvement across all site activities.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong experience delivering mechanical/HVAC systems on large industrial or advanced manufacturing projects.
- Proven capability in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks or equivalent.
- Experience working site based on major construction programmes.
- Knowledge of cleanroom HVAC, high purity systems, contamination control or semiconductor facility requirements (advantageous).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and BIM models.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and construction quality standards.
