Mechanical Fitter

Pertemps are currently recruiting for skilled Mechanical Fitters to join a growing manufacturing team based in Tipton.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing a variety of mechanical systems within a busy manufacturing environment. You will also diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults to ensure equipment runs efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings
• Experience using air, electric and manual tools
• Knowledge of torque settings and mechanical assembly
• Own tools
• A proactive approach and strong attention to detail

Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
Friday: 07:30 - 12:30 (early finish)

• £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.50 per hour after a successful trial period
• Monthly shop floor bonus available when production targets are achieved.
