Mechanical Design Engineer

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £35,000- £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)

Type: Permanent

Location: Essex

My client design and manufacture a range of fabricated products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Design
• Be proficient with using SolidWorks CAD software ideally
• Previous experience working in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role within the manufacturing sector
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

• Working within the existing design engineering team
• Producing solid models and drawings using SolidWorks CAD software
• Creating the necessary documentation for the designs including BOM's
• Carrying out engineering calculations when required
• Liaising with other colleagues
• Offering technical assistance when needed to customers and suppliers
