Overview

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: discussed on application

Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700

Industry: Fabrication and sheet metal

Duties

• Working on detail designs and developing manufacturing drawings.
• Liaising with various teams within the company
• Modify and up-issue existing drawings.
• Creating a BOM
• Occasional site visits will be required

Mechanical Design Engineer - role and responsibilities

• Initially working alongside an experienced design engineer, understanding and support with the creation and preparation of engineering drawings.
• Attend and participate in internal and external project meetings,
• A knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques would be an additional advantage
• 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and models would be beneficial.
• Experience of core Microsoft office applications i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word etc essential.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Personal Requirements

• Relevant Qualifications i.e., Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience within a design office environment, with experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Ability to understand/produce detailed technical drawings, with a willingness to learn.
