What you'll learn and do- Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair work on mine assets and equipment.
- Install new equipment and components under supervision.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PM) tasks to agreed schedules.
- Respond to corrective (reactive) maintenance tasks as required.
- Construct, assemble and maintain mechanical systems and components.
- Take part in technical and lubrication programme activities.
- Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment and identify potential issues early.
- Develop practical fault finding, repair and problem solving skills.

Entry requirementsAged 18 years or over.
Leaving Certificate with a minimum of five passes at Ordinary Level, including English and Maths.
Skills and qualities we look for- Curiosity and interest in how things work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and ask questions.
- A positive, proactive approach.
- Interest in technology, engineering or problem solving.
- 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Some flexibility required in line with operational needs.
- A structured apprenticeship combining on the job learning with off site training.
- Opportunities within the wider Boliden Group.
