Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. From routine servicing to engine rebuilds, you'll have the tools, support, and environment to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify faults and necessary repairs
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as servicing, oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations
  • Diagnose issues accurately using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Carry out major repairs including engine replacements, timing chain/belt replacements, and clutch repairs
  • Rebuild engines and repair or replace defective components as required
  • Maintain clear and accurate service records, including parts used and repairs performed

What We're Looking For

  • Solid mechanical experience including:
  • Engine and clutch replacements
  • Timing chain and belt changes (Ford, Peugeot, VW, etc.)
  • Following PDI check procedures
  • Confident fault finding and problem-solving
  • Familiarity with Land Rover vehicles is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
  • Some knowledge of electrical systems is desirable, but not essential
  • Must have your own set of small tools (larger equipment provided)
  • Valid UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive repair (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds)
  • Proficiency with diagnostic systems and repair procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
