Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician / Automotive

Lindfield Motors are looking for a vehicle technician to join our team.

This is a great opportunity to join a small, busy, family run garage with a great local reputation.

38 hours per week.

8am to 6pm over four weekdays.

No weekend work. Closed between Christmas & New Year

The job includes:

Servicing and repairing a variety of vehicles.
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
Recording work and findings on tablets.

Lindfield Motors is always busy and has an excellent local reputation. We work on all makes of cars including sports, prestige and family cars. The work is always varied and would provide a great opportunity for someone willing to learn more., especially in diagnostics. The garage has a great atmosphere and the job would be ideal for someone wanting to work somewhere different. Our four day working pattern is ideal for someone needing time for family/childcare or hobbies.

Candidates should:

Have an organised approach to work and a good attention to detail.
Have good time management skills.
Be confident in speaking to other staff and occasionally customers.
Be able to work efficiently to a high standard and in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
Ideally have a knowledge of diagnostic and scanning equipment but if not have a desire and aptitude to learn.
Have a Level 3 automotive qualification or equivalent.
MOT tester qualification would be useful but not required.
Have a desire to fit into a small team and take pride in their work.

Salary would be based on experience and skills.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
