Experienced SEN Maths Teacher Needed Job Title: SEN Maths Teacher (KS3+4) Location: South Leicestershire - LE8 Salary: Up to M4 (£36,000 - £38,000) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent. Start Date: 31st March 2025 or sooner.
About Us:
Hays are working in close partnership with a small Autism provision based in the idyllic Leicestershire countryside. The school provides inclusive secondary education to students with EHCPs and those diagnosed with Autism between the ages of 10 and 17. The school is small, with no more than 25 students at present but, due to increasing numbers, is currently undergoing an expansion with hopes of opening a new site - giving plenty of opportunity for career progression and development.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Maths Teacher to deliver the mathematics curriculum in a fun and dynamic way to encourage learners to engage in their education.
Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues. Contribute to the development and implementation of the maths curriculum. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in maths education. Facilitate positive behaviour in and out of the classroom by adhering to SEN policies and behaviour plans/IEPs
Qualifications and Experience:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential. Experience teaching maths at the secondary level, specifically to GCSE students. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
