Role Overview

The Matchday Revenue and Growth Strategy Lead - Chelsea Women sits within the Women's Commercial Department, reporting directly to the Commercial Director - Chelsea Women. This is a pivotal role focused on driving commercial performance, venue strategy, and fan experience delivery across all Chelsea FC Women matches and events.

The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day execution of ticketing operations andmatchday delivery, while also playing a key role in shaping and delivering the future stadium strategy for the women's team, including the evolution of matchday operations and the development of long-term venue opportunities at Kingsmeadow, Stamford Bridge, and third-party venues.

This individual will not only drive ticketing revenue and operations but also develop new fanexperience propositions and hospitality concepts aimed at growing the Chelsea FC Women supporter base and generate incremental revenue beyond traditional matchday
models.

Key Responsibilities

Stadium Strategy & Venue Planning

  • Lead on the implementation and evolution of Chelsea FC Women's stadium strategy, balancing the demands of current home venues (Kingsmeadow and Stamford Bridge) with future growth ambitions.
  • Provide venue-related strategic insight and planning to inform fixture scheduling, venue usage, long-term venue footprint, and supporter experience.
  • Act as the operational lead for venue transitions, new venue exploration, and strategic matchday venue planning,working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Ticketing & Revenue Growth

  • Oversee end-to-end ticketing operations for Chelsea FC Women's fixtures, including pricing strategy, ticketing setup, membership journeys, and inventory management.
  • Maximise ticketing revenue and average attendance through strategic planning, optimised pricing, and targeted sales campaigns.
  • Own the annual Season Ticket and Membership sales process from design to delivery, ensuring an excellent supporter journey.
  • Develop best in-class reporting framework to support matchday revenue tracking versus objectives

Innovative Fan Experience & Hospitality Proposition Development

  • Lead the development of new propositions and experiences that enhance fan engagement and revenue generation beyond matchday; including ticketed supporter/sponsorship events, community initiatives, and member-focused activations.
  • Design and deliver innovative hospitality and premium product offerings for both matchdays and non-matchdays at Kingsmeadow and Stamford Bridge.
  • Work collaboratively with Commercial, Hospitality, and Growth Marketing teams to generate incremental revenue streams and evolve the product suite for different supporter segments.

Matchday & Operational Delivery

  • Ensure operational excellence in ticketing and venue execution for all Chelsea FC Women home and away matches.
  • Maintain real-time oversight of access control, ticket scanning, ticket issue resolution, and customer service on matchdays.
  • Coordinate event-specific services including Ticket Transfer, Resale, and complimentary ticketing allocations.

Systems, Data & Platform Development

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the women's ticketing platform - identifying enhancements and coordinating with the Club's system providers to deliver technical improvements.
  • Work alongside Club Chelsea team to own web page development for CFCW hospitality products
  • Ensure data integrity across ticketing systems, access control, and CRM platforms.
  • Feed into the development roadmap and oversee testing and rollout of platform upgrades.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Collaborate across the Club with teams including Marketing, Venue Operations, Supporter Services, Partnerships, and Community to deliver cohesive campaign planning and supporter communications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with third-party venues, the FA/WSL, and other clubs to ensure seamless delivery of fixtures and events.
  • Represent Chelsea FC Women in relevant working groups, matchday planning meetings, and future venue strategy sessions.

Leadership & Culture

  • Provide leadership within the women's commercial team, fostering a high performance environment and mentoring junior staff where appropriate.
  • Champion Chelsea FC's values and work collaboratively to support the Club's broader goals for the women's game.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in venue strategy, ticketing, or commercial operations within sport, live events, or entertainment.
  • Deep understanding of venue operations and supporter expectations within women's football or similar high-growth sport environments.
  • Ability to plan and execute both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Commercial mindset with a strong track record of driving revenue and improving supporter engagement.
  • Experience developing hospitality products, premium experiences, or fan-centric activations.
  • Confident stakeholder manager with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible and resilient under pressure, with availability to support events on evenings and weekends.
