Job Description
JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Matchday Catering Assistants to join our team during our 2026/27 season. Luton Town Football Club is a vibrant and inclusive venue, welcoming thousands of supporters each matchday. We pride ourselves on delivering a safe and friendly, and unforgettable experience for all visitors.

The purpose of the role consists of matchday food and beverage operation, stock control, dealing with customer needs and a high standard of cleaning. To provide operational support on matchdays/events and assist in maintaining high standard rating for food and hygiene safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Selling a range of products through the Kiosks & Public Bars including soft drinks, hot drinks and prepped food.
  • Adhere to Licensing restrictions and enforce a proactive approach to Challenge 25.
  • Ensuring the food preparation in kiosk and public bar areas are clean and hygienic. Ensuring a high level of cleanliness in Kiosk and bars at all times including close down of units.
  • Cleaning, stock up and preparation of units.
  • Supporting the close down of public kiosks & bars to Company's Standards, including removing and securing all stock, surfaces are cleared and clean and that all equipment is clean and presented ready for the next service.
  • Ensuring that general housekeeping standards are maintained, including cleaning of all areas.
  • Report maintenance, accidents and health & safety issues using the company procedures.
  • Be available to work a minimum of 75% of fixtures including both mid-week evenings and weekend fixtures throughout the course of a season.

Casual Worker requirements:

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of Health & Safety related guidance and processes within your role and in line with the Club's Health & Safety Policy.
  • Consider the Health & Safety implications of all actions and inaction within your role.
  • Support and uphold agreed standards for Health & Safety compliance, including assisting in accident, dangerous occurrence and near miss investigations within your role.
  • Follow and adhere to safe management systems and working practices in line with the Club's Health & Safety Policy.
  • Ensure you have been briefed and are confident in using any equipment prior to use and seek guidance from your line manager as required.
  • Regularly review risk assessments, safe working, and management systems associated with your role.
  • Liaise regularly with the Club's appointed Health & Safety representatives to support and maintain compliance.
  • Maintain records of all Health & Safety issues within your role and area of responsibility.
MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Specific Experience:

  • Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Can follow instructions and expectations of the role and standards outlined in our Matchday Handbook.
  • Experience of working within a similar role previously.
  • Experience of working within a customer facing role. Abilities/Skills/Knowledge: Friendly, approachable with a professional attitude.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work and remain calm under pressure.
  • Punctual, reliable and flexible with working hours covering evening and weekend shifts.

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Commitment to customer care with the ability to demonstrate it
  • Attention to detail and pride in the quality of work undertaken
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Be an ambassador for the Club presenting the Club in a positive image at all times
