Job Description
Role Overview

This permanent position involves leading the mechanical maintenance of a fleet of Mercedes Benz Sprinters, Vitos, and Volkswagen Transporters across the UK and Europe. Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance inspections and repairs in accordance with company and DVSA standards
  • Advanced diagnosis of mechanical, electrical and CAN bus related faults using manufacturer level diagnostic equipment
  • Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT testing
  • Investigating recurring defects and implementing long term solutions
  • Completing accurate maintenance records and workshop documentation
  • Ordering parts and managing repairs in accordance with company procedures
  • Attending vehicle breakdowns (rare) and providing technical support where required
  • Road testing vehicles to verify faults and confirm repair quality
  • Assisting with the development of workshop procedures and maintenance standards
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced technicians where appropriate
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation and company policies
Candidate Requirements - Essential
  • Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining light commercial vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience working on Mercedes Benz Sprinter vehicles or similar LCV platforms
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and maintain high standards
Candidate Requirements - Highly Desirable
  • Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen or manufacturer Master Technician accreditation
  • IRTEC qualification
  • MOT Tester qualification (Class 4 and/or 7)
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Experience maintaining fleet vehicles
