Job Description
The Company 
Our client is a market leader in the engineering sector. Due to growth, they now require a Master Scheduler.
The Role- This new role is responsible for the scheduling of all projects across facilities.
- An experienced planner with a strong ability to analyse and interpret production capacity, ensuring resources, labour and equipment are effectively aligned with operational demand.
- Working closely with the Project Engineers on projects by maintaining detailed project plans, tracking milestones, and ensuring schedule accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proven capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Responsible for laying out the framework that guides a project's progression from initiation to completion.
- Identification and segregation of different tasks that make up a project, setting milestones and deadlines and monitoring progress.
- Ensuring that a project is completed efficiently and on time, while staying within budget constraints.
- Create plans that outline the steps and resources required including forming a documented roadmap and timeline to follow, which helps to ensure that the project progresses smoothly and on schedule.
- In partnership with Sales, produce the most accurate capacity forecast plausible from given market data.
- Leads the cross-functional process which aligns resources on optimal use of future manufacturing capacity on a long-term planning horizon.
- Develops and maintains the master schedule to establish the timing of operations and determine how to load the factory by means which best satisfies customer needs.
- Communicates master schedule status and actions to drive timely resolution of issues that are affecting schedule execution.
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Create and maintain various reports and tools to effectively track KPI metrics related to manufacturing and production performance to plan.
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times, actively promote good HSE practices.
- Preferable a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Planner or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing, project management and customer service.
- Experience of material management, planning and/or scheduling experience in a manufacturing/project environment.
- Experience using ERP software and a demonstrated understanding of the MS-Office Suite of productivity tools.
- Experience with critical path and resource management analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability within role to meet the demands of changing Operational and Organisational needs.
